The American edition preceded the English edition by four days and is thus the true first edition.
An impressive set, uniformly bound in reddish brown cloth, gilt title on spine and on 4 front covers. Numerous maps and plans, some folding and colored. The only illustrations are 8 photos of key personalities in the final volume.
Volume one spine is dull which is typical of other volume ones’ I have seen. The Aftermath volume contains a previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown, otherwise a very good set.
Size approx: 6.25″ x 9″
The first American edition appeared from 1923-27 as 3 volumes published in 4 by Scribner’s
Book 3: 1916-1918 in two parts.
Book 4, 1929, a further volume appeared as The Aftermath.
Book 5, 1931, a final supplementary volume was published The Unknown War. The Eastern Front

I am interested in your six-volume Charles Scribner’s Sons set of Winston Churchill’s The World Crisis (1923–1931), currently listed for $1,200.
I am specifically looking to add a complete American Scribner’s set to my Churchill collection in which all six volumes are First Edition, First Printing/First Impression.
Before purchasing, could you please confirm whether each of the six volumes is a first printing, rather than a later printing within the first edition?
If possible, I would also appreciate photographs of the copyright/title-page versos or other relevant bibliographic points that confirm the first-printing status of each volume.
