I’m potentially interested in your Folio Society six-volume set of Winston Churchill’s The Second World War, which you describe as Fine.
I’m aware that the two slipcases for this edition are often prone to splitting or weakening at the seams, so could you please confirm specifically whether either slipcase has any splitting, seam separation, weak/tender joints, repairs, crushing, or significant rubbing?
If possible, I’d be very grateful for photographs showing:
–the front and rear of both slipcases;
–the top, bottom and rear seams of both slipcases;
–the slipcase corners and opening edges.
Could you also confirm that the books themselves are free from fading, foxing, staining, inscriptions, or significant wear?
I would be shipping the set to Bangkok, Thailand, so could you please provide an accurate insured shipping quote for the complete set? Given its weight, I’d also appreciate confirmation that the books would be packed securely enough to prevent movement inside the slipcases during transit, ideally with substantial cushioning or double boxing.
