There exists another issue of this pamphlet without the publisher’s name on either the front cover or title page which was distributed to the boys and monitors of the High School.

The text of Winston Churchill’s dedication speech at the unveiling of the plaque is on pages 9-18. It was first printed in Dec. 1936 in the City of Oxford High School Magazine. Then, in 1954 it was reprinted in The Home Letters of T. E. Lawrence and His Brothers.

The plaque was a low, bronze relief by his friend Eric Kennington, the principle illustrator of The Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
