I heard from Creighton this morning who had seen Boase, who told him that I was very near a first and that if there had been another I should have been the one, not this annoying? He said both my law papers were good. (Thanks entirely to you) and my foreign history.
I am afraid from what he said I put one or two things in, that would have been better omitted. I must thank you very much for your assistance and teaching in English law of which I am sure I knew more than anyone in the schools. I must try and keep up the little I know, as I am sure it is most useful.
