Reportedly the Lion is Rota, the lion in the London Zoo presented to Churchill during WWII as a symbolic gesture to commemorate his victories in Nth. Africa. Here’s an original Press Photograph of Churchill feeding Rota
Small: measures nearly 3″x3″.
The lion’s head is removable to open up a trinket box.
According to Harmony Kingdom’s website their pieces are made from crushed marble and resin in the tradition of the English cottage industry. Carved in 1995.
