Winston Churchill: Authentic Signature. 1908 Letter to his Cousin, Shane Leslie

Sir John Randolph Leslie (1885-1971) 3rd Baronet, known as Shane Leslie was Churchill’s cousin. In 1908 Leslie became a Roman Catholic and supported Irish Home Rule. This letter from Churchill, dated 10 April 1908, thanks Leslie for sending him information concerning “O’Briens views on Land Purchase”.

Dear Jack,
Many thanks for your letter and for sending me O’Briens views on Land Purchase.
The Irish party are foolish not to support me at this juncture. A struggling nationality ought not to go out of its way to ignore those who may some day be of service to them
