Churchill was the first recipient of this prestigious award presented to “a person who in the course of contemporary events had made an outstanding contribution to the historic struggle of men and women to live free and self-respecting in a just society” according to archived documents housed in the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library. The only other recipient is Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy who received the award on Nov 19th, 2021

Tipped in are an envelope + a letter from Kenneth Chorley to Lewis W. Douglas offering Mr. Douglas a copy of the book, presumably the Limited Edition book included in this listing.
