The first two volumes were written by Randolph Churchill (Churchill’s son) and the final six volumes by Martin Gilbert who was an assistant to Randolph Churchill for the first two books. When Randolph Churchill died in 1968 Martin Gilbert took on the task to complete this 8 vol biography. The last six volumes all signed by Martin Gilbert.
The set has been rebound in cream morocco leather with the Churchill coat of arms on the front and all edges gilt, preserved in green buckram slip cases with the coat of arms on the front. The first volume Youth was published in 1966.
Similar shelf appearance to the Collected Works of Winston Churchill, however they were bound in cream vellum.
A superb 8 Vol Set in Fine Condition.
