Note that the date of the inscription is Churchill’s 73rd Birthday. Amery at the time was also 73.
Leo Amery was a longtime political friend of Churchill. They were at Harrow together, then Amery spent many years as an MP in various cabinet posts.
Amery will go down in history for his 1940 Commons challenge to Chamberlain “In the name of God, GO!”
Very good copy with like dust jacket, spotting to endpapers otherwise a nice clean copy.
