The first illustrated edition of Churchill’s masterly account of the Second World War.
An excellent set, bound in brown suede leather with glassine dust jackets, bindings are in fine condition. Colored frontispiece in each volume, 185 half-tone plates, numerous maps, plans and diagrams, many of them folding.
The Chartwell Edition, incorporating Churchill’s final revisions plus illustrations was produced upon the completion of the Second World War series, which Churchill had published in six volumes between 1948 and 1954.
