This is copy no. 950 of a total of 950 copies, so this was probably a special presentation copy; it is dated and signed by Churchill on the verso of the title page.
This deluxe illustrated and numbered edition in the French language was issued in unbound sheets, approx. 9″ x 11″, illustrated by André Collot ”de bois gravés en couleurs et en noir” (wood cuts in color and black). A most elaborate production. (See Langworth p. 49).
As was intended with this issue of unbound sheets, the book has been finely bound in 3/4 green leather over marbled paperboards.
