Sarah Churchill – Signed Contract
Contract signed by Sarah Churchill for the TV program “Playhouse 90”, dated November 21, 1956, along with two riders to the contract initialed by her. Also included is a 9” x 7” photograph (not sure who the gentleman is with her) and a copy of the DVD “Royal Wedding”.
Actress and author Sarah Churchill (1914-1982) was the second daughter of Winston Churchill; during World War II, she was her father’s aide and accompanied him on many of his journeys.
She commenced her acting career as a chorus girl at the age of 21 and appeared in over 20 movies and TV shows between 1937 and 1959, including her own TV show in 1951. She is best remembered for her performance opposite Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding (1951).
