While not too difficult to find, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to acquire a set in this condition. Only 2,000 copies of this first edition were printed and the reviews that followed resulted in a second impression within two months. The editor Col. F. Rhodes, elder brother of Cecil Rhodes was correspondent for The Times during the campaign.

This set is protected in custom made clamshell book-like cases.
