Written by Herbert Paul, who mentions in the preface that this work was proof read by famed historian and children’s author, Andrew Lang. ‘But Mr Lang is, of course, not responsible for any statement of fact, or any expression of opinion’.
This edition was printed and engraved by Manzi, Joyant and Co at Asnieres-sur-Seine. In a half morocco binding.
A delightful, very heavy book in very good condition. With the bookplate of Arthur G. Soames (Father-in-Law of Mary Soames) and the posthumous bookplate of Mary Soames (Churchill’s youngest daughter)
