Foss was an advertising designer who joined the staff of the Air Ministry Publicity Branch prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. He designed about 60 posters for the R.A.F., and ’Volunteer for Flying Duties’ was his first major design.

FOSS printed in top left corner.

Creasing from original folds; very minor scattered edge wear; small separation at bottom fold edge; bottom right corner very lightly creased.
