Paragon Patriotic Series Trio V For Victory
In fine bone China this cup, saucer and plate depict the “V for Victory” call during WWII from England. The words “For Victory” appear also on the inside of the cup.
Excellent condition.
The Paragon backstamp is present as is the series title. This appears on all pieces with the addition of the pattern number on the saucer. (see pic)
Circa 1941.
During WWII the British government controlled British Industry very closely: china companies could only make plain white china. Paragon capitalized on the nationalistic fervor and, with the Government’s permission, produced this Patriotic Series for export to the US & Canada.
A must have for anyone that collects this series.
