With Randolph Churchill’s bookplate on the front pastedown and the ex-lib bookplate of Winston Churchill directly beneath it.

Dawes was Vice President of the United States during the Hoover administration and is the namesake for the Dawes Plan. Indeed the one mention of Churchill in his book refers to a discussion of that plan. Dawes, along with Austin Chamberlain was the co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1925.
