The complete text of the original 4 volumes was entirely reset for this edition in 2 books.
Original plum colored cloth, gilt, some repairs to the dust-jackets but otherwise a very good set.
Inscribed by Churchill to David Green in Vol. 1, with a typed letter from his personal private secretary tipped in. The letter states that Churchill has asked that an inscribed copy of Marlborough be sent to David Green and tenders his thanks for “the very fine copy of Blenheim Palace which you sent him.” Churchill’s inscription is dated 1952 and the letter is dated 28th July 1952.
