Adam Marshall Diston (1893-1956) was a WW1 veteran, journalist and unsuccessful parliamentary candidate for the fascist party under Sir Oswald Mosley. Diston was a literary assistant to Churchill helping him create new articles with material from old articles that he had written. Frederick Woods claimed at least 16 articles attributed to Churchill between 1934 and 1938 were possibly written by Diston.

The set is housed in full crimson morocco book like clamshell cases with the Marlborough coat of arms on the front.
