Welcome
"One of the Largest Private Collections to Come on the Market"Churchill Pamphlet: I Escape
Reprinted from “My Early Life” by permission of the Author … and the Publishers
First and only edition
No publisher
No date, probably circa 1942 (The date of publication was suggested by the Huntington cataloguer.)
32 pages
Staples, not rusty.
Blue card wraps. The outer covers have browned somewhat as can be seen when comparing them with the inside of the front cover. Cohen states the wraps are “light to moderate greenish blue”.
This copy has two punch holes where it was previously kept in a ring binder and a tiny piece missing of the front cover, bottom left corner (see photograph). Otherwise, a very good copy.
The only other copy I have seen was offered by Harrington’s who also mentioned a single copy traced institutionally to the Huntington. “The text is that of chapters XXI and XXII of the first edition of My Early Life” (Cohen).
