The Chartwell Edition, the first illustrated edition of Churchill’s history of Britain, the British Empire, and the United States. Large octavo.
Churchill began this work during his period in the political wilderness years early 1930s but did not complete it until the late 1950s.
Original blue cloth, gilt-paneled spines with red leather labels lettered in gilt, front covers lettered and ruled in gilt, top edges blue, blue and white end bands. With plates, diagrams and tables throughout.
A fine set in the original glassine dustjackets which are all complete and further protected under clear plastic.
A perfect set for the serious Churchill collector.
