Gilt lettering to spine.
Foxing to fore-edge and several spots on title page (see pic) otherwise clean throughout.
Paper starting to lift at top hinge inside front cover.
Top corners very slightly bumped.
Minor damage to front pastedown – looks like text has been erased.
Thompson reportedly saved Churchill’s life on numerous occasions. This book was published before Thompson’s return to work with Churchill during WWII.
An extremely rare book.
