Here’s a complete set of 10 cigarette cards entitled FAMOUS ESCAPES. Made by Carreras Ltd., London for Turf cigarettes.
Card #1 show Winston Churchill’s famous escape from Pretoria on Dec. 15th 1899.
This set of cards consists of the larger (scarcer) sized card. The smaller version is seen more often.
Approx. size: 2.25″ wide x 5.25″ high
The cards are curled slightly otherwise in excellent condition.
