In addition to Winston Churchill, there are sketches of Joseph Conrad, Philip Snowden, Hilaire Belloc, Sir Austen (Chamberlain), L. G. (Lloyd George), Max, Lord Beaverbrook, “Jix” (Sir William Hicks), “Ramsay”, Arnold Bennett, Lord Oxford, J. L. Garvin, St. Loe Strachey, Augustus John, Y. Y. (Robert Lynd), H.G. Wells, G.K. Chesterton, The Right Honorable J. H. Thomas, P.C., M.P., The Lord Chief Justice and a sketch without a name.
Contained in a brown cloth portfolio, with gilt title label and ribbon ties. I understand that Ron Smith, writer of ‘Images of Greatness’ commissioned the sketch of Winston Churchill to be made into a pottery figurine modelled by Ray Noble.
All 20 sketches and the portfolio are in excellent condition. Sketches are perfect for framing.
