The special edition of The Legion Book was limited to 100 numbered copies finely printed on hand-made paper at the Curwen Press. None of the copies were for sale: they were made as gifts from the Prince of Wales. Here’s my copy – number 73.

What we have here is a spare set of the signed sheets presumably prepared and stored safely in case of a problem during binding of Minchin’s book.
6 sheets total each measuring approx: 12″ x 10″.
These sheets are preserved in a custom made solander case in half blue morocco with blue cloth boards made by Chelsea Bindery. The solander case is lined with matching blue velvet and is in As New condition.
Measures approx: 14″ x 11″ x 1″
Minchin collected a remarkable group of well-knowns to contribute to and sign The Legion Book published in 1929.
A superb collection of signatures including three prime ministers and one future Prime Minister (Churchill), one French President and many artists and authors of the day. A total of 89 contemporaries including those listed below.
