Unsigned holograph exchange of notes written on a single piece of 10 Downing Street imprinted stationary, together with photograph of Winston Churchill & David Lloyd George.

Written during a cabinet meeting, when it was their custom to pass such notes back and forth to each other.

The exchange is written in pencil and brown crayon and concerns Churchill’s evaluation of the position of Irish political leader Tim Healy on, presumably, Asquith’s Home Rule Bill, which was to be introduced to the Commons in April of 1912.

Holograph Details:
With embossed seal of the First Lord of the Treasury.
Slightly smudged but quite legible and fine.
Twenty eight words in Churchill’s hand.
One page, 8vo.
Date written in at top left corner in unknown hand: Feb. 8th, 1912.
