"One of the Largest Private Collections to Come on the Market"The Atlantic Charter – Poster
Here’s a large wartime poster, 14 x 28 inches, produced by the Office of War Information and printed by the Government Printing Office, poster No. 50.
The Atlantic Charter by FDR and WSC.
Background to this historic event: British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) met in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. The resulting agreement (codenamed Riviera) between the United States and Great Britain named The Atlantic Charter, was signed on August 14, 1941. This document did much to shape the course of the war and the post war period.
A nice clean copy that has been folded into eight with a closed tear at the top. Recently framed under glass, so the creases and the closed tear are barely visible.
