About Churchill Collector

I have been collecting Churchill since the 1970’s when I lived in the UK. Over the years a lot has changed; the quaint bookstores scattered all over England are becoming harder to find. Then there was the hay-day of eBay buying and selling, where some fantastic bargains were uncovered, but there were also the ones who were out to take advantage of you. (This includes the guys who sold Churchill’s facsimile signature as the real thing – for way too much money.)

Nowadays, many of the scarce, sought-after items are extremely difficult to get hold of. I have spent years hoping to come across a particular version of one of Churchill’s books at a price I was willing to pay, but there comes a time in your life when you have to downsize – I have run out of wall space so cannot add more bookshelves, and the 10+ china cabinets / display cases are brimming with toby jugs, teapots, Churchill busts, statues, cups & saucers, commemorative plates, silverware…
