Presented to both Houses of Parliament by command of His Majesty, 1908.
Only 750 copies of this report were printed which principally concerns Churchill’s visit to Cyprus between October 9th and 13th 1907, when Secretary of State for Colonies.
The purpose of his visit, undertaken ‘en route’ to East Africa was to assess the financial needs of Britain’s small dependency and to impress on the population Britain’s intention to retain sovereignty. Among other items within the publication are ‘Mr. Churchill’s Reply to the Greek Elected Members, Memorial presented to Mr. Churchill by the Greek Elected Members’, a report on local expenditure by the High Commissioner and the Secretary of States reply to the proposed expenditure.
