This is a very professional carving of Churchill wearing a bow tie, one of the nicest renderings I have seen

Briar is widely accepted as the finest wood for making tobacco pipes because of its properties. It is actually a root wood that grows in burls (large balls of wood) underground. Briar, a type of heather, naturally absorbs moisture & nutrients from the earth. It grows in the south of France & other parts of the Mediterranean along the coast. Bruyer is its name in French.
