8vo. 7 folding maps and folding facsimile letter. (Half-title and final leaf lightly browned.) Original red cloth, spine lettered in black (spine a bit faded).
1,354 copies of this special privately-printed Sandhurst Edition were issued. The work is an abridgment of the five volume first edition of 1923-31.
This edition was a textbook at the Royal Military College, so most copies have considerable wear from heavy use. This copy is far better than most copies I have come across over the years but good luck if you are seeking a fine copy of this edition.
