A very nice copy of this elusive work which is sought by Africana collectors as well as Churchill collectors.

Lord Randolph Churchill traveled to South Africa at the invitation of Sir Henry Loch and Cecil Rhodes. He toured the diamond mines and gold mines at Kimberly and Johannesburg, and spent time shooting in Mashonaland. The letters that make up this book were originally published in the Daily Graphic and outline the details of his exciting journey.

A signature on the front free endpaper has been inked out; a new-paper photo of Winston is tipped-in on the rear of the title page.
