A collection of 23 essays on a wide-ranging group of subjects such as The Great War, Politics, Churchill’s career and his hobbies. Some chapters had already been printed. Two examples are:
Shall We Commit Suicide?” on p245 was first printed around 1924.
The final essay on p305, ‘Painting as a Pastime’ first appeared in an article in 1921.

Foxing to first 6 pages (prelims only). Very light foxing to the fore-edge. Sunned dust jacket spine missing top edge. (see photo)
