This is not simply an abridgement of the World Crisis, it has been revised by Churchill with new material and there is also a whole new chapter on the Battle of the Marne, as well as a new introduction. This single volume edition covers the same material as the first four volumes of the original six volume work.

5000 copies published. 831 pages, index, numerous maps and plans, some folding.
Bound in medium yellow-green cloth, gilt on spine, blind stamped on front cover. Slight wrinkling of the cloth on the front board otherwise the binding is fine with exceptionally bright gilt to the spine, previous owners signature to front paste down (Lt. Col Waite U.S.A. Paris 2 March 1939).

Complete with the scarce dust wrapper which is very bright with the spine showing only the slightest fading.
