The Prime Minister, The Right Honourable Winston Churchill’s famous speech before the House of Commons: August 20th, 1940

Contains these well-known words words, (referring to the pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain)

“Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few”

His Majesty’s Stationary Office (H.M.S.O.), London, 1940.
Soft cover.
Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition.
H.M.S.O. edition, only printing.
This is one of Churchill’s most famous speeches.

This particular speech seems to have become sought after by a wide range of collectors possibly due to its inclusion in the book “Printing and the Mind of Man”. It is quite a common item: I used to see copies of this speech all the time in London bookstores in the 70s. Unfortunately the price has continued to escalate. This copy is preserved in a blue watered silk velvet lined flap case with leather title label on the front.
