2 Large Silver Medals in presentation case with COA.
Set number 288 of 1000.

Designed and sculpted by Michael Rizzello, United Kingdom. Each medal is individually hallmarked and numbered. They measure 60 mm diameter and weigh 2.75 troy oz. each. The medals come in sets of two: one medal depicting Churchill and the other medal depicting Franklin D. Roosevelt. The reverse of the medals depicts the battleship HMS Prince of Wales in Placentia Bay.

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (fdr) met in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. The resulting agreement (codenamed Riviera) between the United Stated and Great Britain named The Atlantic Charter, was signed on August 14, 1941. This document did much to shape the course of the war and the post war period.

Sets were issued in two different sizes 60 mm and 32 mm in Platinum (10 sets) Gold  (150 sets) and Silver (1000 sets), so here we are showing the larger of the 2 sets of Silver Medals. Emitted by Mayfair Gold Medal Center Ltd. – Set number 288 – Engstrom 67 E
