WINSTON CHURCHILL: 2 Signed Letters to Nightingall, (Horse Trainer) + 7 Photos

Here are two typed letters signed by Winston S. Churchill to his race horse trainer Walter Nightingall, one dated 13th September 1949 on Chartwell letterhead and the second 15th April 1954 on 10 Downing Street letterhead. Together with these signed letters are seven 7 photographs of Churchill with his horses.

Churchill had a great love of horses emanating from his early career in the cavalry and he was an excellent polo player in his younger days. At one time he owned no less than five race horses – the most famous being Colonist II which won a total of 13 races.
