Churchill Toby Jugs dated 1927 by W.H.Goss in 2 colourways- 1st Toby Jugs of Winston Churchill

A Pair of  Churchill Toby Jugs by W. H. Goss, Longton 1927
– Blue and Green colourways
– The 1st Churchill Toby Jug
– 6½” tall. Made in two colourways – blue suit or green suit depicting Churchill as Chancellor of the Exchequer, instituting a betting tax. Shown wearing a white top hat with his hands  in prayer.

Inscription on each hat reads:

‘Any Odds – Bar One, That’s Me Who Kissed The Blarney Stone.’

Both items are rudimentary pieces of pottery  with simple modeling and fairly crude paintwork.

Quite scarce.  Estimated value for the pair: $1,600
