This book is a lavish production, the binding is full padded blue calf skin with the Churchill crest in gilt on the front cover, raise bands on the spine with the V for Victory sign in gilt in each of the panels. It comes in a blue buckram slipcase and the original box. It is printed on hand-made deckle-edged paper.

The tributes contained in the book as the result of a letter sent out by Ronald Staple the Chairman of Truth inviting foremost leaders from all walks of life to comment on the early speeches made by Churchill as Prime Minister in the early part of 1940.

The book includes responses by:
